The Tan Hill Inn is Britain's highest pub standing at 536 metres above sea-level. The Inn dates back to the 17th century and often served miners from the local mines. The mines closed in the early 20th century and the trade disappeared with it. The Inn is now dependant on the tourist trade as it is located on the Pennine Way. Photography by Bertram Unné.
