Mr Fred Horner of Hampsthwaite.Margaret Morrill (nee Clough) adds by email [2007]:I knew Mr Fred Horner from the mid-1930s as he lived at the farm opposite to where we lived by the side of the village green. I delivered milk for him, before I went to school, to local houses in the village, as did my brother and sister before me. My brother is 81 this April and still lives in Hampsthwaite and is probably the oldest Hampsthwaite-born lad left in the village.I am now 76 years of age and over the last few years I have collected postcards of old Hampsthwaite and find Mr Unne's pictures fascinating. Photography by Bertram Unné.
