Disclaimer

We try to check the accuracy of information on this site.  However, we do not guarantee that this information will be error free.  We try to ensure that all product information is correct, however, slight variations may occur.  All measurements quoted are approximate and the reproduction of colours will be dependent on the setting of individual screens and publishing processes.

Prices and Availability

Price and product availability may be subject to change without prior notice.  We reserve the right to change, modify, remove or substitute any of the information on the website without prior notice.  Prices include VAT at the appropriate rate.

It is possible that, despite our best efforts, some of the products listed on our site may be priced incorrectly. Where a product's correct price is lower than the amount stated we will refund the difference to you.  If the product’s correct price is higher than the price stated we will normally contact you for instructions before despatch.  We are under no obligation to provide the product to you at the incorrect (lower) price if the pricing error is obvious and unmistakeable and could have reasonably been recognised by you as a mis-pricing.

If you are purchasing from outside the United Kingdom you will be charged in your own currency and the banks will perform the currency conversion into pounds sterling.

We offer promotions through voucher codes from time to time.  Only one voucher code can be used per order.

Delivery

We cannot be held responsible for incorrect billing or delivery addresses being submitted at the time of order. Please double check your delivery address prior to submitting your order.

If failed deliveries are returned by the third-party delivery organisation to use due to incorrect address information provided, a failure to react to delivery cards left by the courier or misplacement of the cards, a charge for re-delivery to the customer address will be made.

Goods and/or services ordered from this website for delivery outside the United Kingdom may be subject to import duties and taxes or handling charges which are levied when the delivery reaches the country of destination.  The Council does not have any control over these charges and cannot predict their amount.  Payment of any such charges, taxes or import duties will be your responsibility and you must comply with the applicable laws and regulations held within the destination country.  Please check with your local customs office for further information prior to placing your order.

As delivery charges overseas can be very variable we reserve the right to cancel and refund your order if the delivery costs would be considerably in excess of this.

Refunds and Cancellations

Where we are unable to supply the goods and/or services you have ordered for any reason we will issue you with a refund within 14 days of your order by crediting the card with which you paid for your order.

You have the right to cancel the order (by letter, fax or email only) without reason up to 14 working days starting the day after delivery of goods unless:
•     the goods have been personalised/made to order for you (e.g. copies of photographs, maps) – unless these are damaged
•     You have requested a service which has already commenced and has incurred costs
See below for further information about these exceptions.

You do not have to give any reason for cancellation, however, a brief explanation will help us to improve the service we offer to customers in the future.  If you cancel the contract within this time you are required to return the product(s) in question to us at your own cost.  You have a duty of care for the products during the cancellation period in order for a refund to be given.  You are advised to return the product with the original packaging to ensure that the product is not damaged on the return journey.

Any payments you have made will be refunded in full within 14 days of receiving the returned goods. If you fail to return the goods, we will collect them, and we will charge you the direct cost of collection.  If you fail to take reasonable care of the goods before they are returned to us, and this results in damage or deterioration, we will charge you for the reduction in value.  This cancellation policy does not affect your legal rights – for example, if goods are faulty.

If you wish to exercise the right to cancel the contract prior to despatch of goods, please email .  If your order has already been despatched please follow our returns information.

Maps/Photographs

You acknowledge and accept that due to the fact that the goods are made to your order, e.g. print size, number, we cannot accept returns if such goods confirm to your order and the order confirmation unless they are damaged.

Research Services

You acknowledge that, in accordance with Regulation 36 of the Consumer Contracts (Information Cancellations and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, that once we have commenced the research service ordered, which may commence from the date specified in the order confirmation email, you will have no right to cancel the agreement between us.  If you amend or cancel an order, your liability to us shall be limited to payment to us of all costs we reasonably incur in fulfilling the order until we receive your amendment or cancellation.
