The Swinton Hall estate is a 200 acre estate owned by the Cunliffe-Lister family. The family haven't always owned the house. It was built in 1865 by Sir Abstupus Danby and had many different uses. After much renovation it was bought by Samuel Cunliffe-Lister in 1882.
