The Royal Pump Room museum stands alongside the Royal Parade, Harrogate. Across the road is the entrance to Valley Gardens where the Harrogate Internation Festival and Spring Flower Shows are held. Inside the Pump Room museum is a collection of exhibits which illustrate Harrogate's history as a spa town. It was originally built in the 1840's as the demand for public access to the sulphur baths was increasing.
