A view of Pickering Market Place on a busy day. On the left is a shop belonging to Fowler Shrigley which was ladies and haberdashery shop. They owned another store across the road and used to have a speaking tube which ran under the road. Next door to Fowler Shrigley was Holliday's Garage. In their showroom they actually had a car on display in the window.
